Day 1
On day 1 we met our tour guide and group!
We took a walking tour of the historic center of Rome, stopping along the way at the Torre Argentina Cat Sanctuary, the Pantheon, Trevi Fountain and finally a relaxing dinner at Osteria dell'Ingegno.
Along the way our guide, Nina, taught us how to navigate the city ... a skill that would come in handy later!

We each tossed a coin into the Trevi Fountain to ensure we would return to Rome. Above is a picture of Evan making his wish to return. By the time we arrived to dinner we were ready to relax, rest our feet, enjoy food and drink, and chat with our fellow travelers. On the way home our guide taught us to navigate the bus system. We returned to our hotel, the beautiful Hotel Lancelot, just blocks from the Colosseum.
